Steve Mikolajewski

I am primarily a public artist focusing on engaging the community to help design and create work. I work mostly with acrylic paints to do murals but also enjoy oil and watercolor for my personal work. I have experience working with most media and use combinations of all different things to create work that is site specific, meaning that the site determines the materials, each project is unique and often relies on the creative process as a means of discovering the materials and content of the work.

My work encompasses both large-scale murals and 3D sculpture. I'm proficient in a range of painting mediums, including acrylic, oil, watercolor, ink, and spray paint. For sculpture, I utilize diverse materials such as glass, ceramic, metal, wood, and mixed media.
