Tara Shannon

Tara Shannon is a graduate of Edinboro University, where she earned a BFA in Painting with a teaching certificate and a master's in Educational Leadership. A multimedia artist and visual arts instructor at Collegiate Academy in Erie, PA, she also serves as a resident teaching artist for Erie Arts & Culture. Tara's work blends classic and contemporary styles, combining formal drawing, painting, and composition with digital media to explore themes of change and evolution. She exhibits both locally and nationally, earning recognition for her organic artworks and abstract compositions in online galleries. In addition to exhibiting, Tara creates custom designs and portraits through TaraShannonArt at her studio in Harborcreek. Her Italian-themed mural can be seen at 323 Holland Street in Erie.
