Alethea (lea) Bodine
Alethea "Ms. Lea" Bodine is an artist, movement facilitator, and arts advocate dedicated to fostering personal awareness through dance. She is the creator of Chromatic Dance™, a somatic movement practice and curriculum that blends Western dance techniques—such as modern, ballet, and rhythmic dance—with Eastern movement philosophies like yoga, tai chi, and butoh. Rooted in accessibility, Chromatic Dance™ empowers individuals of all ages to explore movement, rhythm, and cultural expression, regardless of prior experience. As a Pennsylvania Arts Council Teaching Artist, Alethea is passionate about integrating the arts into education and public health, advocating for the transformative role of movement in personal and collective well-being. She continues to explore the intersection of arts, health, and education through her work as an educator, author, and community wellness advocate.
